Jonathan Creasey is committed to leaving a great legacy for boundary umpires in South Australia and indeed across Australia.  Jonathan was presented with his 250 match certificate at a dinner last week where all of the SA listed AFL umpires got together to celebrate the start of the 2014 season.  Jonathan achieved this great milestone in the Fremantle v Sydney preliminary final in 2013.

Fellow boundary umpire, Mark Thomson said Jonathan set the standards for all SA umpires both on and off the track.  He is the third of the current running SA boundary umpires to achieve that milestone.  Darren Wilson (353 matches) and Mark Thomson (277) are the other two members of that group.

In responding to his award, Jonathan was humble and spoke about the camaraderie among the SA boundary boys, working hard together at training and ensuring that they performed to their best on game day as being his focus.  Jonathan was put onto the leadership group this season and is confident he will be able to make a great contribution to umpiring all over Australia.
