The AFL and the AFL Umpires Association have reached an agreement on a deal for umpires to take a salary reduction of 50% until the end of May which will increase to 70% if the season is further postponed.

I’m sure that one of the joys in footy is sharing milestones with colleagues, friends and family. The umpiring department is often inundated with requests from our umpires for tickets to enable everyone the opportunity to share the event.
Footy will be back on our television’s tonight! Whether you agree or disagree, our umpires are fully prepared to officiate in those games. We are not immune to the community concerns about the virus nor the virus itself. Consequently, we have worked with the AFL Umpiring Department to put a range of strategies in place, to as far as possible, minimise the risk of virus transmission for our umpires’.
