The AFL Umpiring Department has welcomed a new addition to the Boundary Umpires list for 2025, with Zac Mousaco earning promotion following an impressive rise through the ranks.
Mousaco made his AFL debut on Saturday the 5th of July, officiating the St Kilda v Hawthorn clash at Marvel Stadium. His promotion to the elite level comes after a string of strong performances in key matches, including the 2022 VFL Grand Final and the 2024 AFLW Grand Final, both important milestones in his umpiring journey.
Off the field, Zac holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise from Deakin University and currently works as an exercise scientist, bringing a deep understanding of athletic performance to his role on the boundary line.
His elevation to the AFL list is a testament to his commitment, professionalism, and consistent excellence through the State League Talent Pathway. Congratulations to Zac on this significant career achievement.
