AFLUA Life Member Len Eddy passed away on Thursday 26 October aged 88.

Len Joined the VFLUA in 1950 as a field umpire.  In his time on the list Len umpired 6 VFL reserve grade games.  240 VCFL games including 3 grand finals.  He umpired 5 metropolitan games and 3 Tasmanian games until his retirement at the end of 1963.

In his 14 years on the list Len was a member of the social committee for 3 years from 1957 until 1959.  He was President of the VFLUA in 1962.  Len was made a life member in 1960 and was awarded a Life time achievement award in 1963 for services to the association.  Len was an inaugural inductee into the AFLUA Hall of Fame in 2008.

Len went on to become the umpires advisor in the Essendon and District League for 7 years 1972-1978.
