The AFLUA is saddened to learn of the passing of former member Alan Thomson.
As well as umpiring six senior VFL matches between 1970 and 1972, Alan represented Victoria and Australia at state and international level playing cricket.
As a VFLUA member between 1967 and 1974, he umpired 58 VFL Reserve Grade, 87 VCFL (including 5 grand finals), 1 Tasmanian and 1 Metropolitan matches.
Alan Thomson passed away 31 October 2022.
