Goal umpire Simon Plumridge reflected on his moment between the sticks, as his soft call of a goal to Dan Houston was deemed correct.

Simon was in the thick of the intense action at the Essendon v. Port Adelaide match at the MCG in Round 16, when Houston’s kick from outside the 50-metre arc sailed across the goal line, and Simon was swarmed on the goal line by players vying for the football, as he looked to take up a good spot to judge the goal.
