Today sadly marks one year since we lost AFL goal umpire and friend Jesse Baird.
Those who knew Jesse were impacted by his incredible energy and spirit for life. His effervescent personality was infectious. He made people happy just by being around them.
Jesse and his partner Luke lost their young lives in tragic circumstances. The outpouring of grief and volume of condolences was an indication of how deeply their deaths impacted others and the broader community.
Our thoughts are with their families, friends and loved ones. Jesse and Luke will be treasured forever in our memory.
