Bob Barkley umpired 165 VCFL games between 1961 and 1970 and became a life member of the association in 1971.
Bob had two stints on the VFL Reserve Grade between 1956 and 1959, then again in 1971 and 1972.
Bob passed away after a short illness. He leaves behind four children, 11 grand children and 9 great grand children. He was aged 83.
Bob’s funeral is being held Tuesday September 29 at the White Lady Chapel, 339 Warrigal Rd Burwood at 10am.
