The AFLUA recently completed a visit to meet with our interstate umpires in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. As part of the association’s engagement strategy, Peter Howe and Peter Kelly welcomed new umpires and provided a comprehensive induction overview of the association.
The AFLUA also took the opportunity of hosting its annual dinner at each state location giving members and new umpires the opportunity to hear more about current happenings, such as the Heads of Agreement, an update on plans for the year ahead including the development of a strategic plan and to ask any questions or raise any issues.
A number of issues were raised which will be discussed at executive level and / or referred to the AFL Umpiring Department.
The AFLUA will again visit our interstate locations in July / August.
