Adam Wojcik began his umpiring career with the Geelong Football League. In 2001, he commenced with the VFL, consolidating his craft and 7 seasons later umpired the VFL Grand Final. In 2008, he was elevated to the AFL Goal Umpiring List.
In his debut season he won the Brian Pratt Medallion for most promising first or second year goal umpire, an indication of things to come.
Wojcik has gone on to umpire 310 AFL matches including 35 AFL Finals and 5 AFL Grand Finals in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2023. He has been the recipient of the Leigh Keen Shield for his on-field performance and off-field contribution to the Association in 2015, 2018 and 2023 and was selected as All-Australian Goal Umpire on three occasions – 2015, 2016 and 2023. He was awarded AFLUA Life Membership in 2017.
Wojcik has also umpired a number of Anzac Day clashes at the MCG (including his 300th match in 2024 – the first draw in his career )and represented the umpiring fraternity at exhibition games in New Zealand and China.
Wojcik has also contributed to AFL Umpiring through his role on the Executive Committee of the AFLUA. He served as Goal Umpires’ Representative for three years (2016-2018) before stepping up to Vice-President for a further three years (2020-2022).
Adam is a sworn member of the Victorian Police Force.
