Just hours after receiving the ultimate accolade from his sport highly decorated AFL field umpire Brett Allen maintained that a vocation as an umpire was never more appealing than in the current era.
Allen was inducted into the AFL Hall Of Fame on Tuesday night after a remarkable 347 games and seven grand finals in a career many believe puts him in an elite group who have ever umpired the game.
