Craig Fleer was the only field umpire added to the AFL list at the completion of the combine two weeks ago.  Craig, who was a listed umpire in 2014 returns to the list and has the opportunity to add to his 36 game career.  Craig from SA spent the 2015 season umpiring in the SANFL.

This leaves the AFL field umpire list at 32, a reduction of one on previous seasons with no player to umpire pathway umpire being added to the list.

Jason Armstrong (127 games) and Heath Ryan (116 games) have been delisted.

While boundary and goal umpires have had their list status confirmed no additions to the lists have been made.  Goal umpires Mathew Laycock (45 games), Matthew Wilson (47 games) and Michael Hammond (144 games) have been delisted, along with boundary umpires Nick Liparota (84 games) and Cameron Ward (111 games).

The AFL will now sit down to select a number of AFL Rookie umpires who will be eligible to sit on the bench as emergency field umpires.
