The AFLUA hosted a ‘Girls Night Out’ at the Blue Train Restaurant on Wednesday 20 April.

Social Events Coordinator and Host for the evening Jane Wenn welcomed everyone and reiterated the importance of having a strong social network for those who play an important and supportive role to our umpires on the field.  Jane also introduced the new AFLUA Marketing and Communications Coordinator Peter Kelly.

Jane was pleased with the attendance.  “It is important that we recognise the supportive role partners play in the success of our on-field umpires. We had a good cross representation of partners from all squads and l hope we can continue to build on numbers into the future.”

The next planned event is a Spa Day in June – details to follow soon.
